L'Académicienne, Secrétaire de la section "Sciences de la vie" de l'Académie d'agriculture de France, prendra, en effet la parole lors de l'importante conférence : "Genome editing : applications in agriculture - implication for health, environment and regulation", qui se tiendra dans les locaux de l'Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques (OECD), à Paris, les 28 et 29 juin 2018
Les organisateurs précisent : "This event will focus on genome editing applications for use in crop plant and animal breeding to examine the risk and safety assessment and regulatory context for the products derived from these techniques. The conference will review the situation of current and upcoming genome editing applications and the potential safety concerns for the environment and health. It will also discuss whether or not existing frameworks for risk analysis are equipped to deal with these new technologies and what the implications are for regulation, ethics and agricultural innovation, identifying possible policy remedies to address these concerns".
